Paragon Entertainment LLC Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Paragon Entertainment LLC presents a summer concert series, “Live At The Linen” in Boise’s Linen District
BOISE, Idaho, April 21, 2008- Paragon Entertainment LLC, a global film distribution and music entertainment company will be producing a three-concert music series this summer, commencing the Fourth of July weekend. The concerts will be held in Boise’s flourishing Linen District, a rapidly up and coming arts and cultural center. Paragon will be partnering with Linen District developer David Hale, and will be holding their event at the newly renovated Linen Building event center and the large adjacent lot next door. The concert series has been aptly named “Live at the Linen.”
The concert dates are July 5th, August 9th, and September 6th from noon until 10pm. Each concert will showcase 12-14 bands performing on two separate sound stages, one inside the Linen Building and an outside stage next door. All bands will play original music from a multitude of genres including rock, indie, folk, pop, grunge, R&B, Jazz, country western and many others. Additionally, a wide variety of food and beverages will be available, as well as clothing and retail booths from local vendors. Beer and wine will be available along with a full bar (with ID). This is an all-ages, family friendly event and everyone is welcome.
“We started this concert series last year with our ‘Live at Hyde’ event in Hyde Park and it was a very big success,” says Wendy Meyers, Paragon Company President and CEO. “We’ve received an overwhelming amount of positive support from the community about producing live, intimate music events with up-and-coming artists, and that’s exactly what we intend to do with this series. We’ve culled the nation, including Boise of course, for the ‘best of the best’ bands and solo artists; many of them undiscovered ‘pearls’. We’ve had over 400 top-notch musicians from across the country apply to play in our series within the first few weeks of announcing the event. We are beyond thrilled at the quality of the band lineups we are putting together for each concert; artists from New York to Boise, to LA and everywhere in between. If you’re a music lover of any kind, these concerts are absolutely the place to be this summer.”
Meyers goes on to say, “Our only regret is that we can’t schedule more concerts, and invite even more of these artists to Boise. There is so much talent out there, but unfortunately, we only have a limited amount of time and number of slots available to play.” Paragon intends to make this concert series an annual event each summer. They are also currently considering the possibility of producing an indoor acoustic concert series during the winter months.
Admission fee for the kick-off concert in July will be $5 on a pre-sale basis and $8 at the door. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased on line at www.liveatthelinen.com after May 30th. Children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult and seniors, 55 and over are free, and attendees will have “in and out” privileges during the day. Meyers says, “The entertainment value of our concerts is exceptionally high. However, we wanted to keep the ticket prices low, so that every person in the community would have access to our shows. We feel everyone should enjoy the gift of great music.” A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to TrICA, the Treasure Valley Institute for Children’s Arts (www.tricarts.org).
The Linen Building (www.thelinenbuilding.com) is located at 1402 W. Grove Street next to Big City Coffee. For more information about concert details, individual artists and bands, bios, pictures and samples of their music, please go to www.liveatthelinen.com (the site is currently under construction, and will be up and running on or before May 30).

Paragon Entertainment LLC Press Release
17/09/07 12:16
Paragon Entertainment LLC: A new company for
international and domestic film distribution, music
talent management and marketing promotion services.
For Immediate Release
BOISE, Idaho- A new Idaho Entertainment company was formed today that will encompass domestic and international film distribution, production and entertainment marketing services. The company, to be called Paragon Entertainment LLC, will be headquartered in Boise.
With extensive professional backgrounds in film, music management, photography and sales and marketing, co-founders Keith Selin and Wendy Meyers bring a plethora of experience to the rapidly growing Idaho-based film and music marketplace. “We saw a tremendously rich pool of film and music talent delivering outstanding product to the area with very little ability to get it distributed beyond the boundaries of Idaho. We want the rest of the world to see the amazing creativity coming out of this area, and we know just how to do that,” said Keith Selin, CEO and co-founder of Paragon. “Our focus will also reach well beyond the borders of Idaho. We have a growing pool of International filmmakers.”
Selin goes on to say, “We have over 45 highly marketable films, documentaries and animation features on our plate right now that are ripe for domestic and global distribution, fifteen of which are from Idaho film-makers. Additionally, we have a library of over 200 international films. We have more films and scripts pouring in everyday. Our phones have been ringing off the hook and this is just the tip of the iceberg. ”
When asked how Paragon will market and distribute their films on a global scale from Idaho, Selin explains, “after twenty years in the business, I’ve built long-term relationships with key point-people in the industry; the infrastructure is solid. Add to that today’s communications technology, and it’s easy to do business on a global scale from any city in the world. My contacts are literally only a phone-call, text message or e-mail away, 24/7. We will be making trips to all of the major film markets, including AFM, Cannes, Berlin, and Toronto, as well as Los Angeles and Mumbai on a regular basis to visit our key contacts. The rest of the time we’ll live on our phones and do face time with the Idaho entertainment community. “Additionally,” Selin goes on to explain, “we’ll be opening an office in Los Angeles in the Fall, since several of our major distributors reside there.”
As far as differentiating Paragon Entertainment, Selin explains, “There are literally thousands of film-based entertainment companies throughout the country, several in fact that have recently announced their presence here in Idaho. But here’s the critical difference; distribution experience. That’s the missing component the vast majority of these companies don’t have. You can make all the movies, documentaries, animation and television projects you want, but if you don’t have a broad distribution network of global partners ready, willing and financially able to take your products to market, you’re dead in the water. Paragon has that network. We’ve been cultivating these relationships for nearly two decades and that’s what makes our company absolutely unique."
Wendy Meyers, Paragon company president, will be focusing much of her time on the music management and marketing promotions side of the business, where she is well entrenched in Boise’s music and entertainment community. She sees an enormous need for better representation for Boise’s thriving, and rapidly growing musician community. Meyers explains “I am out at the local concert venues on a regular basis photographing these highly talented musicians who are working day in and day out and barely making ends meet. The majority are self-representing; they’re trying their best to book their own gigs, which greatly limits their exposure and rarely gets them out beyond the local scene. Some of these artists could be touring all over the Northwest and beyond with a little help. But they can’t create new material, book new gigs and pay the rent all by themselves. That’s where we come in. We’re looking for a long-term relationship, to grow with them and help build their careers. They have the talent. We have the experience and can take them to the next level. We also see a strong synergy between our musicians and film-makers in the form of soundtrack and scoring opportunities.” Meyers will also be working to organize and promote live concert events and musical productions.
